Our Mission |
|
The Sean W. Venezia Foundation is
a non-profit, all
volunteer organization dedicated to: increasing awareness of
Spinal
Muscular Atrophy (SMA), funding research designed to treat or cure the
disease, and providing support to families effected by SMA Type I.
Currently, the
Foundation raises funds through the
generous donations
of individuals
and corporations throughout the U.S. that share an interest in helping
to defeat the #1 genetic killer of children under the age of two.

Our twin boys, Sean and Luke, were the
inspiration b ehind
this logo. Having the birth signs of Aquarius, it seemed fitting to
use two seahorses. The Yin and Yang symbol, which forms an "S" in
honor of Sean, depicts how our boys' personalities were opposite yet
complementary. Lastly, the seahorses are floating in a "womb-like"
sphere that will always keep them together. A special thanks to Dan Narahara who turned our concept for this logo into a reality. |
